Get to know us
In the OPAL course element Profile, course participants can introduce themselves to each other. The profile can be customised by the course author with any number of freely definable text input fields and thus individualised*.
Working in groups
With a Wiki can be used to easily create articles and content and edit them together with other users.* Wikis can be used for collaboration in groups, for example. This makes it possible for students to collate materials or discuss partial results. You can find out how to create wikis in OPAL and integrate them into a course here.
Discuss subject-specific topics
The OPAL course element Forum allows the author to integrate a forum into a course. In this forum, course participants can exchange information with each other and address questions to the course organisers and supervisors.
Students can, for example, hold subject-related discussions in a forum for practice or assessment purposes.
Assess each other
A Peer review(accessible via the OPAL course element Assignment) enables anonymous assessment of submitted assignments by other students or participants. An overall assessment for the submitted assignment is created from the reviews*.
